At WestWaters, sustainability is woven into the way we operate every day. We believe that thoughtful choices – both big and small – can make a meaningful difference, and we are proud to offer our guests a stay that is comfortable, responsible and forward-thinking.

We have introduced a comprehensive energy management strategy designed to reduce consumption across the hotel, while still delivering a high standard of comfort. Guests are invited to take part in our towel and linen reuse program, helping to conserve both water and energy during their stay.

In our efforts to reduce plastic waste, WestWaters has completely removed single-use PET water bottles. Instead, guests can enjoy chilled, infused water from our refill station at reception – an initiative that significantly cuts down on disposable plastics while encouraging more sustainable habits.

Our commitment extends beyond plastics. From reducing food waste to simplifying our operations through a “less is more” philosophy, we continually look for ways to minimise unnecessary items and streamline our processes. We proudly partner with local producers to showcase fresh, regional ingredients across our food and beverage venues, including Miss Caroline, Ruck & Rover, and Saige Bistro, supporting both sustainability and our local community.

Inclusivity is also a key part of responsible hospitality at WestWaters. Our hotel is thoughtfully designed to be fully accessible, with wheelchair-friendly facilities, accessible rooms, and features to support guests with diverse needs. Our team is trained to provide attentive, personalised assistance, ensuring every guest feels welcome and supported throughout their stay.

Accesibility for all

We are committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive experience for all guests. Our property has been designed with accessibility in mind, offering large open floor spaces on the ground level with clear circulation and ample room for wheelchair access. Guests can enjoy full wheelchair access throughout the hotel, including a step-free main entrance and lift access to all floors. Reception is conveniently located just a few steps from the main entry, and a hotel driveway allows for easy drop-off and exit for cars and vans. Undercover, enlarged accessible disabled parking spaces are also available to provide safe and convenient access to the hotel.

Accessible accommodation is available at Mercure Caroline Springs, featuring spacious open-plan rooms and bathrooms to support easy manoeuvring and the use of specialised care equipment. Bathrooms include large accessible showers with shower curtains, handrails and adjustable shower heads, as well as accessible toilets fitted with handrails. Roll-under basins are provided, with lowered soap dispensers, towel rails and power points to enhance comfort and ease of use.

All dining venues are wheelchair accessible, including Saige Bistro (top level only), Miss Caroline and Ruck and Rover. Our friendly team is always available to assist where needed. A dedicated accessible toilet and change table are located on the ground floor for added convenience.
